03

The device is an extension of the DES.03.100 test rig and is rigidly fixed to it using connecting bolts.

02

On the frame plate, there is a damper that is attached to the table top. It ensures smooth lowering of the table to the initial position once the pipe is removed from the device.

01

The system comprises a frame, a table top, a support and supporting V-blocks.
  • The pipe is placed on the V-blocks of the table top and the rollers of the rotation system. The face of the pipe rests against the support of the device and is held in place with ratchet straps. The straps are selected depending on the size and weight of the pipe.
  • On the other end of the pipe, a hoisting device is attached (casing pick-up elevator and lifting gear).
  • Lifting the pipe in the vertical position shall be as follows: the electrical bridge crane lifts the pipe and moves along its axis until the pipe is in the vertical position, the other end of the pipe still being attached to the tilt table.
  • In the vertical position, the crane is locked, the table is locked in place with stoppers inserted in the through holes. The straps are loosened and the pipe may be moved with the hoisting device.
  • When the straps are loosened and the pipe is removed from the tilt table, its top may be put back in the initial (horizontal position) by pulling by the mounting lugs. Once the support passes the vertical axis, the damper will smoothly lower the device onto its support. The operators may initiate the lowering manually – pushing the table top and pulling by the lugs (at least two people).
